2021 Recipient is the Aliquippa High School Band

The OOMPAH Music Fund honors the long-time tradition of the San Rocco Festa Band.

The band gathers to play on a weekend in August each year near St. Rocco’s feast day of the 16th (we celebrate the second full weekend in August).

During the feast, the community of Aliquippa gathers its resources, talents and neighborly love to celebrate an ethnic tradition born from old world memories. Music is a big part of the San Rocco Celebration weekend. 

The San Rocco (Oompah) Music Fund was created to honor the legacy of Festa Band members by providing funds to area youth supporting access to instruments and other musical related endeavors.  The Fund will supply musical instruments and experiences to children in the Beaver County Area.

 The San Rocco Foundation was created to preserve and share the history of the Beloved Patron, San Rocco and the culture and heritage of Italian-Americans.
